Her work brings together a background in education, technology, and data with a love of making big topics feel approachable for children.
My Story
From the classroom to children’s books
Ramona Anghel began her journey as a teacher, where she discovered her love for helping children learn with curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Her path later led into the world of technology and data, but her educator’s heart never left her.
Today, Ramona works as a Senior BI Developer for a virtual school, blending her background in education with her fascination for the digital world. She believes important topics become easier for children to understand when they are presented with warmth, clear language, playful visuals, and plenty of encouragement.

Why I Write
Big topics can still feel welcoming
Ramona believes children do not need complicated explanations to begin exploring important ideas. They need clear language, thoughtful guidance, engaging visuals, and room to ask questions.
Her books are designed to help young readers notice, wonder, practice, and build confidence as they encounter topics that may initially feel unfamiliar.
The goal is not to give children every answer. It is to help them feel comfortable asking questions, thinking carefully, and continuing to learn.
Much of Ramona’s inspiration also comes from her young daughter, Eliana, whose curiosity, questions, and love of discovering new things helped shape the spirit behind Lumi Learning Adventures.
The Idea Behind Lumi

That approach helped inspire Lumi—a bright, gentle learning robot who turns big ideas into kid-friendly adventures.
Lumi gives young readers a familiar guide they can follow from one topic to the next. Whether the adventure involves artificial intelligence, riding safely, or another important subject, Lumi helps make learning feel encouraging, playful, and manageable.
